Bonnie Dennison & Alison Barton
We are Bonnie Dennison and Alison Barton, a NYC based writing and directing duo. We met years ago when our boyfriends introduced us, assuming we’d have some chill double dates. But then we hit it off a little too well and much to our boyfriends’ dismay, at every group dinner hot ‘n’ fresh RIFFS were on the menu. Cut to the present: those boyfriends are no longer around, and we’ve built a career making each other laugh.
We've written and directed commercial campaigns for brands like Wendy's, Subway, Amazon, Spotify, and Head & Shoulders, with performers like Mindy Kaling, Shaquille O’Neal, John Cena, Terry Crews, Megan Rapinoe, Sarah Hyland, and Martha Stewart (to name a few). Our pilot “Granted” won Best Comedy Script at New York Television Festival and is currently in development at Just For Laughs with Judy Greer attached to play the lead. We are set to direct our feature film "What Would Dakota Do?" And our new award-winning dark comedy short film “Pull Out” is making the festival rounds this year. We’re developing projects with several prominent production companies that we’re very proud of, but can’t brag about yet.
On a personal level: Bonnie Dennison was born and raised in NYC. She’s a young hot mom to twin two year-olds and is reluctantly running a marathon that Alison talked her into. Alison Barton was born and raised in New Jersey but we don’t hold that against her. She’s a young hot athlete, who is way too enthusiastic about pickleball.
